Ms Tan Yen Sing is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (previously known as American Dietetic Association), California Dietetic Association and Nutrition Society of Malaysia. She graduated from the Ohio State University, majoring in Human Nutrition with option in Dietetics. She previously worked with Kindred Hospital Los Angeles, a long-term acute care hospital. She returned to Malaysia in September 2007 and joined Prince Court Medical Centre from 2008 to 2013 as a clinical dietitian and is currently working full time at Tropicana Medical Centre. She frequently participates as a speaker for hospital education events i.e. World Kidney Day, antenatal workshop & etc. She has also been a guest speaker for corporate clients including Halliburton, Petronas, Shell, Malaysia Airports, American Association of Malaysia, MBG fruits retailer, Tenaga National Malaysia (TNB), Astro Awani; as well as making regular appearances in the media including 8TV Eve’s Diary, NTV 7’s Bella Live and Weekend talk show. She also writes for magazines and newspapers and her articles and columns has appeared in the New Straits Times, Nanyang Siang Pau, Sin Chew Jit Poh, China Press, Cari (online news/media), Mingguan Malaysia, Malaysian Women’s Weekly, Shape magazine, iSihat, etc.
